My paintings are inspired by the rhythms of the natural world. I mostly work in acrylics or gouache with mixed media, but sometimes I will do ink and watercolor. I thrive on versatility and using my hands directly— that’s why, when I’m using acrylics, my paintings are actually finger paintings!
America Connects | Midwest Region Mural Tiles
In 2022 I got the chance to do two limited-pallet tiles for the Midwest Mural edition of America Connects’ Mural Mosaics. Being from the midwest, I wanted to capture two of my favorite seasons and how they can transform the land I call home. I also wanted to incorporate my western and eastern zodiacs into my tiles, and so I added sheep to Autumn and a horse to Winter. My tile numbers are 167 (warm pallet) and 939 (cool pallet).
